  • i don't understand religious extremism
    i understand they're basing actions on the word of God
    what they forgot is that the version they read is one that has been transcribed translated retranscribed reinterpreted by men for millenias
    yes it's the farkin 2000s
    imagine how many iterations there have been
    think of the many changes that has occured
    can you say it's still true that there is only one God and he is in some locality of choosing?
    back then some small section of the earth was known to be all there is
    how can one say there is only God's land and enemy's land
    what you're going to kill or convert others?
    for what exactly?
    fulfilling God's promise of ?
    yeah fill in the blanks
    just think before acting
    education is key
    if only all the ignorant people get a decent education
    if only intellect and free will can be spread as easily as sars
    people think for yourselves!
    how can a single supreme being who is equated to being love have prejudices against certain people
    how can it justify uneccessary killings
    remember your text was written in the time of warfare power struggles uncertainties about this earth

    i prescribe self-immolation if you really want to make a point
    stupid people cause the deaths of others who follow commands because they signed a contract

    a new world view is desperately needed to unify all those who hold too dearly to their localized Gods

    i'm not saying organized religion is evil tho it can be
    everyone has the right to practice their beliefs in a manner of their choosing
    no one should ever feel threatened by someone else's weird practices
    why should people feel this way?

    bombing religious institutions?
    dying bacause they think their sacred grounds will be unholy

    if a rat stepped on some horse dung and ran into one of the places in the middle of the night
    and no one saw it, wouldn't it be unholy too
    but since no one knows it's still holy?

    they're the only group idare to call stupid
    but they're also very dangerous

    i know life is full of suffering but if it has no purpose and all we wanna do is go to heaven
    why doesn't everyone just die the minute they're born

    someone's done something wrong to someone else int the past few million years i'm sure

    it's so bloody frustrating
    everytime i read news of stupid people wreaking havoc
    i wish i had some superpowers so i can go slap each one of em in the face, twice
    there are injustices and sometimes you do have to fight for your rights
    that i understand, but don't kill over silly differing doctrines that all in general emphasize on being good and godly
    it's more like satan's trap, those who think they're so farkin holy
    they want recognition they want submission for their own personal self satisfaction that is well come on now of this earth


    anyway.. i was baptized catholic
    and i know growing up talking religion classes i always wonder why do i care that this guy is the god of israel?
    i'm in indonesia
    i'm chinese
    yes the stories have virtues but that's all they are, stories
    you can't take them literally
    you have to interpret it yourself
    those extremists take those words as if their lives depended on it.
