damn real estate wars
feels like it
so stupid cos i'm throwing down so much moola yet it's so stressful
the broker for that first place left a rather erratic message about how the place is available again last night
only to call saying it's getting rolled over to the next highest bidder today... wtf? then why did you call and say it's available and we should bid blah blah anyway, i called and put in a bid, she said she'll just present it tho probably we can only hope that it falls through w the current person to get a shot at it.

my receptionist brought her sick daughter in to work
i happen to sit sort of next to her and pretty much babysat her daughter last time, letting her use my mac. but now that she's sick, i can't help hoping i won't catch whatever it is she has.. especially since she's sort of directly beside/behind me and constantly coughs etc .. dammit, i finally get a vacation day for memorial day and i can't afford to be sick!!! arrrrr. and i don't want o be rude.. i know it's tough raising a kid as a single parent.. i better not get sick. my immune system better be able to handle this..
yea and now i'm coughing.. damn airborne diseases

Oh, the beauty of living in NY and trying to find a place to live. Just move to Seattle! Just wear a mask to work from now on.
My receptionist had similar experience last week. She had to cope with one of the director's son playing around her desk, while the kid was obviously having a flu.
