  • why does rejection hurt so much?
    well cos it does

apparently the part of our brain that senses physical pain also responds to rejection and distress.
part of our species' survival skills since we need to to be nurtured for an extended period of time.
so when i say you're breakin my heart it's cos it does hurt like hell.

  • thanks for the link.  explains a lot.

  • wow, what an interesting study.  they should also do a similar study on whether the same part of the brain is stumilated when korean girls look at louis vuitton bags as when they eat chocolate.  instead of the anterior cingulate cortex it would be the BMABN (buy me a bag now!) part of the brain that's stimulated.  JUST JOKING!  well, sorta...

  • I agree on that....wish it just wouldnt hurt. *poof*
