missed out on getting a 2.5 G5 2G RAM + 23' monitor on ebay ... only 4050
wotta steal
but anyway..
spent less than 3g
dimension 8400 pentium 4 3.4Ghz 1 Gb RAM 320 Gb harddrive
256Mb PCIe videocard ugly plastic case
and the best... 24' flat panel .. woo

i gotta be excited now that they already have my credit commitment
now to NOT look at prices for the next 2 years

wanted to get precision 670 xeon 3.2 Gb cos it has a free 2 19' flat panel special
but bcos it's small biz, more taxes, come out to 3300 and i'd have to get some addtl accessories
ah well it's for the studio.

i've had my current computer since 99

i consider myself a regular user perhaps a little less so than most
people if i haven't fully used up my current 40 + 60 Gb hard drives.

looking for a new system now and am tempted to simply 'get another dell
because it works' but as we now know there're ppl still infatuated with
commodore 64s.

thinking of getting an apple dual processor g5
because the added value of apple's are just well great
it's very well optimized that it becomes the standard to beat.

yknow back when i learned to type i liked the clickety clack of this keyboard
but now after a day of work, really, i can be spared the exercise

maybe this is why my fingers are so tired

with the amt of money i'm willing to plunk down on a new system
i think i'll go for a dual g5 (2/2.5 G gotta do final budget cos monitor is not included
looking at the dell precision 670 too
but as ramped up in memory etc as it is, it's still 32-bit
figured
since my ole '99 500mhz dell is still running fine, after i get a new
mac i can tinker and upgrade that baby as i wish. if nothing else,
i will paint the case pink

why are grown-up toys so expensive?

what an uneventful weekend full of sleep
after stressing over k's bday on friday, i was just too tired to do anything else
think i slept most of saturday  and napped alot sunday
need to stop being so lazy at the studio my couch there is just too comfortable..

last night at -----, i could've sworn this guy was trying to pick a fight with me.
like if i'd lost my cool we'd be pummeling each other bloody on the floor and
our asses would be thrown out by the bouncer

i think he was high on something or just himself
don't think a guy has ever tried to pick a fight w me in a public place before
whatever, i'm always ready and i hit where it hurts >:P
but i try to not lose my cool
(even though i really felt like wringing his neck and throw him onto the floor and do a jumping foot stomp from the stage when he's on the floor semi-conscious)
too .. many .. fighting ..  games ..
