  • got back on the bike last night
    have new brakes
    oh so nice
finally can hear my rear tire go skeeeeeeeeeeeet
anyway, the reason i had my 2nd accident was because my rear brakes
were shot. it was never good (that's what you get with a used bike) but
i thought it was normal and experienced ppl who rode my bike didn't say
anything, and assumed i was just a beginner to always sorta stop a lil
    too late.
long story short now i can stop within the second and make tire schreeching noises.
    recap of late night ride
my contacts were constantly drying up
super dangerous cos i can't bloody see :(
lasik/ full gace helmet + goggles in future
almost got hit by a bus (seems like i turned just a lil too close for comfort)
almost fell again taking the manhattan bridge tillary exit
too high gear because abrupt quick stop following by descending curve with my enging going thudthudthud
and me too scared to shift down in mid turn mucho dangeroso probably
    anyway
the third was jsut stopping, busy busy big intersection, road was
uneven when i stopped quickly my bike swiveled a bit, made deafening
tire screeching noises, but no harm done.

rode in to work today, we'll see. need some serious nerves of steel and a friggin good lubricant for my eyes.

  • sounds like you should be considering lasik.

  • tell me how yours go

    i'm definitely considering it
i hate having to lug a bottle of saline everywhere i travel

  • i'm going to get one eye at a time, i've decided.

though i'm not sure how that works b/c two weeks prior you're supposed to take out contacts and wear glasses.. so i have this imagine of me wearing glasses with the red lenses missing.

i missed ya yesterday and wed!  i need to see more of ya   i'll give you advance notice next time.

  • jeannice, i had fun with you sat night!  hehe i'm sad i missed the stage show haha. tata!
