  • Made my first political contribution earlier today

Glad to know I wasn’t the only one. I think there must be a lot of first-timers after yesterday’s palin speech.

After Palin speech, Obama has record $10 million day
    Posted: 08:50 PM ET

    (CNN) –
Barack Obama’s campaign for president has raised $10 million since
Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin spoke Wednesday
night, the campaign announced, calling it a “one-day record.”

Palin, the governor of Alaska, launched harsh attacks on Obama,
accusing him of being two-faced and a political lightweight with no
    significant legislative accomplishments.

“Coverage of the Palin attacks on the news this evening just pushed
us over $10 million,” Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in an e-mail to
    reporters Wednesday night.

The Republican Party announced earlier in the day it had raised $1 million in the wake of Palin’s speech.

  • I actually signed up to volunteer for Obama

Heck I live here, it’s been home now – 12 years is a long time. I definitely do not want to live with the politics of fear. After Bush’s speech just now, I’m sold. Gotta make sure that America-is-a-bully agenda won’t be around the next 4 years. How can he champion preemptive strikes? Telling people that it’s necessary and it’s what makes the country strong?

I understand people vote republicans esp if you’re making more than 250k or so some article states, heck even if i was making that much i do not want to live in a trigger happy society. look at what it gets you, violence around the world for americans. Violence begets violence, I don’t know if it’s from the bible, but that saying’s been around a loong time for a good reason.

Btw, did anyone else notice how very ‘white’ the crowd was at the RNC? They even showed the same few minorities twice.

I also saw a terrifying post the other day blasting Obama for being able to say the Islamic greeting/morning prayer whatnot. Heh-llo anyone who’s lived in Indo, definitely during the 1 TV channel for all phase can recite all 5 prayers probably. It’s broadcast daily, five times a day, all programming is stopped for it. I know that for a fact cos I lived there and I remember having to pause taping muppet babies because the prayers would start. Puhleeze. And why should his religion matter anyway? There’re those sick catholic priests, scamming evangelicals, again back to bible phrase, let he who cast the first stone be free of sin.. something like that. There’s someone corrupt in every race, religion, nationality, gender etc.

Vote for the most reasonable and rational candidate! Someone who can take turn things around for the better or at least try damned hard to and not just live under a rock, bombing anyone who comes by or doesn’t comply.
