  • what a new low
a competitor you NY ers know as GRISTEDE's launched their version of online shopping and STOLE ALL OF FRESHDIRECT'S IMAGES! pretending they're from manufacturers.. or their own dirty business..

what ar*eholes, are they just so uncreative and pressed for time that they have to steal???

an awesome art director at FreshDirect takes all of the images on the site; they probably have some highschool kid copying and resizing them.

their site is ugly as hell to boot

go there and see for yourself.
pretty much all product images are FDs just resized.
    is this even legal????

  • ur site is sooo awesomeee i love the graphics

  • Hello copy right laws????

  • :)
    .
yes i know, but obviously it's not enforced enough on the web that it will prevent a big corporation from stealing

  • Those photographs and they way they are used in your website is Fresh Direct's own intellectual property.

The other company has performed an infrigement on your copyrights. You can take them to court, but as a general rule of thumb, the richer party wins because he/she can afford better lawyers.

Usually in the Internet, if you can proof that your website has used the images before they did, and you can supply the negatives/source of the graphics, you have a better chance of winning the case.

The cost of the case may become too expensive for FD to bother though.

Sorry to hear this has happenned to your company.

  • they even stole the main layout..
    what jerks

  • um, did they think no one would notice or something?
