for the lucky ones who manage to do both.
i envy you

i just can't see myself as a straight up programmer
it's too well, boring
i crave visual stimulation
but at the same time.
i can't stand just doing design work for someone else/product i couldn't care less about.
actually maybe i won't mind it as much
just that when i was doing it i crave the other and vice versa
well you'd think i'd have figured it by now huh.
bottomline
besides the obvious well it's a job sometimes it stinks and is horribly boring but that's why you're getting paid for it
yadda yadda yadda
i need to quit pack up leave and start afresh on my own.
ok maybe more like 'start' to make above option possible and complain less

that's why i never really got into programming... i think i would go nuts.
and the second part, i was ask to take on a web project (which is only a side thing for me really)- but i could totally see it eating up all my time and them having me make a totally ugly site. would've been good money, but i passed.
i totally know what you're getting at. once i graduate, i'm going to stop programming, (unless i have trouble putting food on the table.)
